My current work brings together my experience of still life and landscape painting regarding subject, composition and execution.
Objectively I play with the nature of materials, forms and light to refer to my understanding of our relationship with each other and the natural world.
Subjectively I am dealing with the time it takes to observe and paint a work, the time a viewer would take to look at it in an exhibition and the time an owner would have to observe it. The latter, being by far the longest, is the key to the former.
My intention is to catch the experience of seeing.
